  • Freedom Tower is the main building of the rebuilt World Trade Center complex within the Financial District of Manhattan in New York City.

  • In New York's Lower Manhattan, architect Santiago Calatrava's Oculus transportation hub rose from the debris of the September 11th terrorist attacks, as an organic form within a field of towers and the memorials representing them. The Oculus is the subject of a new book, published by Assouline. It serves as the centerpiece of the World Trade Center Transportation Hub, incorporating 78,000 square feet of multi level state-of-the-art retail and dining.

  • The Manhattan Bridge is a suspension bridge that crosses the East River in New York City, connecting Lower Manhattan at Canal Street with Downtown Brooklyn at the Flatbush Avenue Extension. The main span is 1,470 ft long, with the suspension cables being 3,224 ft long. The bridge's total length is 6,855 ft.

  • The Theater District is the teeming heart of Midtown West. In the pedestrian plazas of Times Square, costumed characters beckon to energetic crowds under the pulsing lights of towering digital billboards. Locals and tourists gather on the giant red staircase above the TKTS booth, which sells tickets to Broadway shows running at the area’s historic theaters. On busy 42nd Street, chain stores and restaurants abound.
